Join Canyon and Handlebar Coffee for a last-minute Santa Barbara popup ride to kick off your Friday morning the right way.

We’ll be setting up the Canyon van at Handlebar Coffee’s 128 E Canon Perdido location starting at 7:30 AM and hanging out to gather riders before rolling out between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. Grab a coffee, meet some fellow riders, and get ready to head into the hills.

Our route will take us up one of Santa Barbara’s most iconic climbs: Gibraltar Road. We’ll climb from town into the mountains, take in some seriously incredible views, and then make our way back down together.

And because Canyon is bringing the coffee, everyone joining the ride will receive a complimentary cup of coffee from Handlebar Coffee.

This is intentionally a casual, come-as-you-are kind of ride. No big production, no complicated schedule — just Canyon, Handlebar, coffee, bikes, and a Friday morning ride up Gibraltar.

🚲 Roll-out: Approximately 8:30–9:00 AM

⛰️ Route: Top of Gibraltar and back

🚦 Pace: Social/moderate — we’ll regroup as needed and aim to keep the group together

🏁 Finish: Back in Santa Barbara following the descent

What to Bring

Helmet, water, snacks, a flat kit, and a bike in good working condition. Gibraltar is a serious climb, so please come prepared with enough hydration and whatever you need to be self-sufficient on the road.

Canyon will cover a complimentary coffee for registered riders, so come early, grab a coffee, and hang out before we roll.
