Hello Nürnberg!

I’m happy to announce my first ever weekend overnighter bikepacking trip especially for women. After having travelled and lived abroad now for many years I feel super excited to guide my first bikepacking tour starting from my Franconian hometown Nürnberg. It will be a weekend filled with adventure right on your doorstep, riding the beautifully scouted Orbit360 route “Franconian Fornax” (by Max Power) which got especially adapted to this event. Not only will it be a weekend to share community with other female bikepackers and maybe make some new friendships, but also a special microadventure with some more challenging gravel cycling right around your home.

✶When? 14 to 15th of June, starting at 9:30 am (I’ll be there from 9 am to chat and have a coffee)

✶Where? Starting and finishing at SALA Cycling Collective, Georg-Strobel-Straße 48, 90489 Nürnberg

✶The Route: It will be 178 km and 2500 moa in total, split into two days. First day will be ca. 70 km and 800 moa, second day ca. 108 km and 1600 moa.

✶The camping: We will camp on the campgrounds of a beautiful public bath, so you can also take a refreshing dip in the evening!

✶What to bring? Your gravel bike (hardtail MTB also possible) with which you feel comfortable on trails as well, your bikepacking and camping gear, food for yourself and anything else you need for bikepacking

✶Food supply: Make sure to bring enough snacks and drinks for yourself, there will be supply on the way and we will stop for a lunch break together. We will finish the weekend and have a pizza or ice cream together.

✶Pace and difficulty: Since it will be quite some climbing involved and it will be about 120 km off-road, we won’t race and go a comfortable pace. If necessary there can be two groups as we meet at the same point in the evening. There will be some not too difficult technical sections as well.

✶Price: Participation is free, just make sure to bring cash with you - campground will cost 15 EUR and most places might only take cash and no cards

✶What else? Feel free to join, even if you haven’t bike packed a lot yet! This weekend should be fun and bringing people together who share the same passion :) We can chill together in the evening, take a dip, play cards or just chat. On the tour we will also pass a lake to take a dip in. In case of extremely bad or extremely hot weather, the event might be cancelled with short notice. Hopefully it all looks good for mid June!
