SBT GRVL Course Recon & Affogatos with Thank Gravel It's Friday
Organized by CANYON
This awaits you

Join Thank Gravel It's Friday for a 25-mile course recon of the first and last 12 miles of the SBT GRVL race course — the sections that set the tone at the gun and decide everything at the finish. This is your chance to know exactly what's coming before race day, or to simply experience one of the greatest gravel venues in the country with good people by your side.

Before the ride:

Meet us at the Canyon booth on Yampa St at 1:30pm to get your pre-ride affogato. If you're a Canyon owner, bring your bike — Canyon will be waxing chains and making adjustments for Canyon owners free of charge before the race. Consider it your own pre-race tune up.

The recon:

We roll at 2pm sharp. The route takes you out of downtown along the valley floor before hitting the dirt and climbing — two proper hill climbs with regroups at the top of each so nobody gets left behind. We ride at a moderate pace, which is slow for some and fast for others, and that's perfectly fine. You'll get a real taste of what makes SBT GRVL so special — the terrain, the roads, the views, and that particular brand of Colorado suffering that makes gravel riders come back year after year.
